Terms and Conditions

With your support in Global 6k for Water, World Vision Singapore aims to reach 10,000 children in vulnerable communities in Asia & Africa by installing boreholes, water tanks, and piped water systems bringing clean water closer to them.

The Global 6K for Water (“Event”) is organised by World Vision International (Singapore) (“WVS”).

  • By registering for the Event, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to accept and abide by these Terms and Conditions (“Conditions”) and WVS Data Privacy Policy (available at worldvision.org.sg/privacy-policy), which together form a binding agreement between you and WVS.
  • In these Conditions, references to “we”, “us”, or “our” refer to WVS, its staff, volunteers, agents, partners, and appointed contractors as the context requires.
  • We will contact participants via the email provided during registration for important updates related to the Event. Notices sent to your registered email will be considered received.
  • We reserve the right to cancel or postpone the Event at any time without prior notice. In the event of cancellation or postponement due to circumstances beyond our control, no refunds will be provided, and we will not be liable for any loss or inconvenience caused.
  • Any feedback, complaints, or enquiries should be sent in writing to events@worldvision.org.sg. While we welcome feedback, our decisions on all matters related to the Event are final and conclusive.
  • We reserve the right to amend these Conditions without prior notice. Please check our official event page for the latest version of the Conditions.
  • These Conditions are governed by the laws of Singapore, and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
Registration
  • You agree to provide true, accurate, current, and complete personal information in the registration form and to update your information as needed. If any provided information is found to be false, inaccurate, or incomplete, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your registration and participation in the Event. We also reserve the right to limit or refuse any registration without providing reasons.
Participation & Indemnity
  • We may modify the participation format or rules at our sole discretion. Where possible, we will inform participants of changes in advance.
  • WVS is not liable for any injury, damage, loss or inconvenience caused by such changes.
  • Participants are responsible for their own safety and physical condition, and should ensure they are in good physical health before embarking on the challenge between 5 September 2025 to 20 November 2025.
  • By taking part in the Event, you confirm that you (or your child/ward, if registering on their behalf) are physically fit to safely participate in the Global 6K for water challenge.
  • Participants can choose to sync their Strava application with their registered account on the user portal for their distance details to be automatically submitted.
  • Participants can also submit their distance details manually if they do not have a Strava profile and are using other suitable fitness tracking devices or mobile applications.
  • Participants are allowed to accumulate the target distance they have set over a few sessions, as long as the challenge is completed and submitted within the challenge period.
  • WVS reserves the right to disqualify participants if submitted information are deemed to be unclear, incomplete or fraudulent.
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
  1. WVS is not responsible for any personal injury, property damage, or other loss arising from participation in the Event; and
  2. You agree to indemnify WVS and its representatives against any claims, losses, or damages resulting from your (or your child/ward’s) participation.
Publicity
  • By participating in our Event, you consent for WVS to use your image or likeness in any record of your participation in our Event for promotional purposes related to the Event.
