💧 This year, I've decided to take on the Global 6K for Water by running/walking/hiking [6] km.
I've been thinking about how easily I can turn on a tap whenever I need water. Yet for many children, every day begins with a walk of nearly 6km just to collect water that may not even be safe to drink.
It's hard to imagine that a journey we might choose as exercise is one they have no choice but to make.
That's why I'm dedicating my [weekly] 6K [run] to children across 8 countries in Asia and Africa who are still waiting for clean water.
What encouraged me to join is knowing that every S$60 can help provide one child with sustainable access to clean water, through solutions like boreholes, water tanks and piped water systems built within their communities.
