With support, children in these communities can grow up healthier, stay in school, and look forward to brighter days ahead.

Vulnerable communities in Wazirpur, Bangladesh lack access to quality healthcare, nutrition, and clean water, resulting in above-national rates of stunting among children under five. Without safe water sources, children face a constant cycle of illness that only deepens these nutritional gaps. With your support, families in these communities can gain access to climate-resilient clean water systems to grow up strong and healthy.

Safe drinking water is a challenge in several communities in Bohol, Philippines, with many vulnerable households continuing to rely on untreated groundwater, open wells, and other unregulated water sources. With your support, we can continue strengthening water systems in underserved communities with 10 more manual handpumps for households and communities daily water needs of cooking, washing, cleaning and personal hygiene.

Over 50% of the children and families in the communities in Kuleaen, Cambodia lack access to clean water sources for household consumption and have to fetch unclean water from the mountain for drinking. In Sambour, Cambodia, 60% of the community directly use water from the Mekong River for their daily water needs. Your support will bring water pipe connection system and 8 boreholes for over 200 households in Kuleaen and Sambour.

59.5% of the population in Mpalo, Malawi lack access to safe water supply. Existing households travel up to 3 km to access a functioning borehole and often face long queues. As a result, many families rely on streams, rivers and open well, increasing their risk of waterborne diseases which is exacerbated by inadequate healthcare. There are also over 200 children with disabilities. Your support will provide 5 disable-friendly boreholes and solar-powered mechanised water systems with 20 taps benefitting 6 schools and almost 1,000 households.

Country: Zambia

In Sioma, Zambia, the majority of households, 54% of households with children share concerns of unsafe drinking water. They rely on shallow wells and streams, and often walk more than one hour round trip to access safe water, increasing dependence on unsafe alternatives. Your support can help close this gap, with the provision of 4 boreholes that will benefit more than 100 households and 2 solar-powered mechanised water systems in two schools that will benefit about 1,000 children.

In the villages of Taikkyi in Myanmar, more than 40% of households lack safely managed drinking water services. Extreme weather events including droughts, floods and typhoons damage water infrastructure and contaminate water sources. With your support, children and families in Taikkyi can have access to climate resilient community water supply systems with water points to improve access to safe drinking water.

Funyula in Kenya is home to a community where 64% of the population lives in absolute poverty. With 36% of households lacking access to safe water and adequate sanitation, children are regularly exposed to unsafe water, poor hygiene, and water-borne diseases. Many families rely on lake water or shallow wells for their daily needs, putting their health at constant risk. You can help bring safe, clean drinking water to seven schools and a health centre, giving children and their families reliable access to clean water.
