In Sioma, children face a daily struggle just to fetch water. They walk long distances to collect murky water from rivers and streams - the same places where animals drink and people relieve themselves. Along the way, they risk encounters with wild animals like crocodiles. Even if they escape danger, the water they bring back often carries deadly diseases like cholera and typhoid. These exhausting journeys leave children too late or too tired for school, trapping them in a cycle of hardship.
